Sphero BB-8 and The Imperial March!

Sphero BB-8 and The Imperial March!

Dun dun dun daa da dun, daa da dun. What happens why you take creativity and precision to the next level? You cross into the dark side! Sphero BB-8 and The Imperial March! is what we’re programming in this edition of Thursday Learnday – brought to you by the Sphero team themselves! Also works with Sphero 2.0 and its education edition Sphero SPRK+, they studied, listened, arranged and perfected how to program the raw motors in these robots to play to the tune of the famous Imperial March from Star Wars!

How it was done?

The Imperial March was a carefully arranged blocks of Raw Motors and Set Color from the Actions tab in Sphero Edu app. First, we carefully listen to the tone that the motors make at specific speeds. Then, we match the speed and the tone to the notes that make up The Imperial March. Finally, we sequence everything together to create the iconic tune! We’ve also added the lights for flare and effect.

Now that you know how it’s done, can you figure out a tune of your own? Share it with us in the comments!
